I think with intuition. The basis of true thinking is intuition. Indeed, it is not intellect, but intuition which advances humanity. Intuition tells a man his purpose in life. One never goes wrong following his feelings. I don’t mean emotions, I mean feelings, for feelings and intuition are one.
~ Albert Einstein (b 1879)
I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent. ~ Mohandas Gandhi (b 1869), Hindu prophet, Indian philosopher, political activist
One of the three philosophies in metaphysics is cosmology: The study of the origin and evolution of Universe, especially with such of its characteristics as space, time, causality, and choice.
Besides mathematical equations and scientific interpretations, cosmology is philosophies and stories telling how the physical Universe and our planetary home have influenced biotic forms over millennia. One’s personal cosmology distinguishes trainings and educations, relations with other humans and other biotic forms in local geographical environs. ~ DM
Nature itself cannot err.
~ Thomas Hobbes (b 1588), English political philosopher
The great source of both the misery and disorders of human life seems to arise from overrating the difference between one permanent situation and another. Some of these situations may no doubt deserve to be prefered to others. But none of them can deserve to be pursued with that passionate ardour which drives us to violate the rules either of prudence or of justice, or to corrupt the future tranquility of our minds either by shame from the rememberance of our own folly, or by remorse for the horror of our own injustice.
~ Adam Smith (b 1723), Scottish political economist, moralist, philosopher
Taxes are not raised to carry on wars, wars are raised to carry on taxes.
~ Thomas Paine (b 1737), British-American pamphleteer, revolutionary, classical liberal, intellectual
Give me control of the economics of a country, and I care not who makes her laws. The few who understand the system will either be so interested from its profits or so dependant on its favors that there will be no opposition from that class.

When a whole nation is roaring Patriotism at the top of its voice, I am fain to explore the cleanness of its hands and the purity of its heart.

We shall have world government whether or not you like it… by conquest or consent.
~ James Warburg (b 1896), American banker, financial adviser
The Trilateralist Commission is international [and] is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateralist Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power—political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical. (From book With No Apologies)
~ Barry Goldwater (b 1909), USA Senator
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American branch of a society which originated in England and believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one world rule established. […] The powers of financial capitalism had another far reacing aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. (From Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time)
~ Carroll Quigley (b 1910), historian, polymath, theorist of the evolution of civilizations, taught at George Washington University, Harvard, Princeton University
We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination praticed in past centuries.
~ David Rockefeller (b 1915), American banker, Trilateral Commission Founder

Good Day, Everyone!
I hope your holiday travels are safe, and gatherings with your friends and families are as happy as could’ve been imagined. Many warm wishes to each of you and to all those who surround you!
Of the many ways to celebrate holiday times, often it’s music that endears us to one another. If only music flourished during holidays, with no football games, no shopping sprees, only one singing soirée and choral concert after another, don’t you imagine we’d have very different societies? For those of you celebrating the Christmas season, my wish for you is sung in the Ukrainian Bell Carol, performed beautifully by a treble vocal ensemble at the end of this ezine.
This is the final 2007 Staying Awake newsletter. Through the month of January, and perhaps into February, you’ll receive the usual announcements, and those announcements may have only quick notes and quotes. That’s all to remind you that I’m researching and studying to jump start topics and videos as well as possible quotes they provide for 2008 ezines.
By necessity, by proclivity, and by delight, we all quote.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson (b 1803), American, leader of the Transcendentalist movement, essayist, poet
Years back, being the sprightly, free-spirited age of sixteen, I was strolling down the open-aired corridor one afternoon between two buildings that were part of the church facilities where my mom worked. I don’t recall the thoughts leading to this one, but I instantly interpreted the sensation as ‘nothing is impossible with the mind.’
I remember feeling surprised, rather like shocked, and kept on walking as if nothing ever happened. Of course, I didn’t mention the experience to anyone, because the intuitive senses didn’t match any experience I knew in scripture. Actually, I hadn’t a clue the word intuitive or its possibilities existed. ‘Nothing is impossible with the mind’ is more than just a little apparent when considering…
Probable impossibilities are preferred to improbable possibilities.
~ Aristotle (b 384 BCE), Greek philosopher, poet, ethicist, physicist, biologist, zoologist, student of Plato, teacher of Alexander the Great
Whorls of possibilities for discovering information can jolt our amnesic state of health, and, after we’ve had a moment of “Surprise!” our tendency for more ideas expands our personal cosmology into answers to curiosities we weren’t at first seeing.
Changing ‘nothing is impossible’ to ‘everything is possible’ gives us practice for intending hope for our global sisters and brothers by imagining life in the Tao Te Ching. It distinguishes USA residents’ Western consumerism, a ‘way of being’ over two centuries, and Eastern ‘ways of being’ over eight thousand years. Some of us desire the harmonious world of the Way, treasured, yet a near forgotten philosophy in the USA.¹ Hover your cursor on the topic you choose.
Early on in studies and writings for Staying Awake, I kept wondering, like a novice, why did Earthlings’ presence on Earth get turned upside down by cosmologies of violence toward each other? Was violence all tied up in the male gender’s biology? Which sage or prophet or prophetess had not signaled a resolution to our error thinking?
Being reared a too evangelical youth, I began questioning dogma and politics in a quiet ire once the stun had cleared following 9/11. It was right in front of my nose—again—I got the answer better than ever: layer upon layers of fear over millennia. Mostly out of fear, Earthlings have tendencies for protecting something that might get taken; some are more protective than others.
Many USA taxpaying hirelings including thinkers, journalists, professors and scientists by the thousands, and theologians live lives conscious of an invisible matrix, vast layers of dismissed fear that leak regenerated webs of error thinking. And, in the groups just mentioned, there are some brave people who understand the realm of geopolitics and religious tradition, but speak delicately of it not wanting to expose the art of the silencing operation that holds fear of subsequent ridicule.
All one must do is connect the secret dots, which is the manipulation we’re keeping concealed: a ruling group matrix dotted with possibilities of mortal threats to person and family, loss of personal prestige and revenue and comfort if mentioning personal preferences inconsistent with a selected group’s intentions. Put that error thinking of fear into much of humankind, and we’ve got nearly imaginable possibilities.
“All of our perennial philosophies, spiritual paths, religions, dreams and hopes, have spun out of an intuitive knowing that these higher intelligences exist, that life is more than just an economic knee-jerk reflex, that we are not just glorified Skinner-box pigeons or naked apes.
“On the one hand we have divinized our potential, projecting who we are designed to be onto an abstracted cloud nine rather than fulfilling our evolutionary potential and falling victim to the politics of that projection.
“On the other hand, and far more destructively, we have denied our evolutionary nature, grounding ourselves in the more primitive, physically bound modes of our brain/mind, and subjecting ourselves to the magician-priests who can best manipulate that physical realm.
“Split between these lower and higher neural systems, with evolution pressing to break through into its new modality, our situation can get precarious. Our personal awareness, with its ego-intellect, makes up an estimated five percent of the total intelligent energy of our brain/mind. (The rest provides the environment and maintains the conditions of this personal five percent.)
“Yet with this paltry percentage we try to manipulate universal forces of unknown magnitude and then wonder why everything goes wrong. Over and again we hear the clarion call that we must take evolution in our hands and do that which bumbling nature, in its fifteen billion years of incredible creation, has obviously not had the intelligence to do. While the ego-intellect loves such arrogant, bootstrap nonsense, operations of this sort plunge us from one personal, social, and ecological catastrophe to another, and we are apparently incapable of catching on to our error.
“As architect Henry Bergman once said, ‘Each and every problem we face today is the direct and inevitable result of yesterday’s brilliant solutions.’” ²
~ Joseph Chilton Pearce, explorer of the physical heart and brain connection
Is there any wonder we Earthlings must find ourselves in groups—even if a group of two—so we won’t make errors alone? Where would we be without our longing to belong? We’ve got ourselves to help one another be aware of and survive our collective experiments, errors, and brilliant solutions from cradled days into eventual coffins.
When humans had themselves together in small communities distanced apart in Europe, Africa, and Asia, it might have been at best a questionable cosmology to corral Earthlings by the resounding fear taught by religious and other shaming philosophical teachings. Within communities, fear of losing one’s soul was created by not believing and behaving in the name of one’s deity like the rest of the group; fear of not having behaved good enough before a messiah returns; fear of not paying tithes; fear of not evangelizing enough souls.
Today, as Earthlings observe other possibilities for ensconced apprehension, many of us USA citizens smell another pool of savvy sludge out of which cliquish relations in religion and politics beget each other. We and our global sisters and brothers have reason for pause when listing phantom fears our religious governments and governmental religions famously market; fears for uniting voters by embellishing pretences, hour upon hour in media…
fear of death; fear of not staying the course for anything proclaimed a security risk; nurturing fear by insinuating ‘you’re with us or against us’ to win hearts and minds of voters; fear of not stopping global warming; fear of not stopping climate changes; fear of pollution; fear of water shortages; fear of famine; fear of nuclear threat; fear of lack of oil; all of which and volumes more are politicized and moralized in USA public relations campaigns. We’ve got ourselves the very corporations and retailers that set up delusions to unite us; now, they require citizenries to purchase services and products promoted by corporations as solutions to their delusions. Altogether, avoidances and abstractions have become a matrix too preposterous to imagine too much.
Imaginations of taxpaying hirelings are ruled—until they’re not—by a group mind that insinuates deeper blame by adding the word moral. That’s an incriminating part of the equation that marks ourselves as USA voters needing a common enemy to unite us. Altering the equation by substituting voters for invisible rulers of nations, we may then incriminate the cloaked pyramidal hierarchy playing around with our imaginations: ‘What they don’t know won’t hurt us,’ say the rulers.
Invisible rulers of the visible rulers of nations can devise anything as an enemy, and, with help of too many political and religious shills, insinuate voters and taxpayers are themselves the immoral enemy, nay the sinner. That’s quite apparent as lobbyists and professional cartels dramatically accomplish their mission in global warming campaigns by moralizing alarmist insinuations to billions of uncurious people already trained to revere anxiety.
We’ve got ourselves to look at, because as long as ruled Earthlings don’t realize or don’t care their collective imaginations are bonded by religiously politicized pretences, then merely helping friends and family survive from cradle to coffin becomes an effortful antidote to anxieties: human beings’ promise of eternal life through belief in a certain god and savior has been and still is the delusion that’s fertile soil out of which myriad fears can blossom. ³
Too many times, the group mind necessitates shame: when falsely defined ecologically safe light bulbs and washing machines aren’t purchased; as delusory political campaigns supported by millions of dollars are privately offered by cartels to pre-selected candidates, who, not without some shame, perform scripts written by rulers to expand the matrix; when delusional sinfulness is offered personal salvation supported by theological dogma already based in shame.
Memes, delusions, and abstractions permeate unwitted personal cosmologies within the elegant matrix of rubber-stamped shame in human existence; a group mind is required for delusions dutifully custom designed by rulers of imaginations, century after century.
We’ve got ourselves to awaken as more unethical, masculine strategems in godly leaderships are exposed to such an extent the USA Republic, by design, crumbles then shifts into a new world government of invisible rulers’ pre-determined organized unions.
